Uniquely comfortable to all audiences from all walks of life, the magic of the Dollar is that the audience commingles in its mutual respect for the music. Today the Sand Dollar, in keeping with it's historic philosophy for a proper mix of down-to-earth friendliness and blue collar class, maintains it’s authenticity in a city of excess. Bands play 7 days a week starting at 10pm.

We feature Blues: An American musical form that originated at the end of the 19th century which is now widespread in most all music today. Memphis Blues, Chicago Blues and Texas Blues are all part of the musical fabric today at the Sand Dollar . It is the oldest live music venue in the city outside any hotel or casino; is a popular site for both locals and tourists and has hosted blues legends such as BB King, George Thorogood, and Jeff Healey.
